The Broncos were
established in 1972 as the Kendall Broncos, a not for profit all
volunteer organization, and were one of eight founding members of the
Greater Miami Pop Warner League.
In the mid nineties, our name was changed to the Coral Reef Broncos to
reflect the fact that we play at Coral Reef Park. In 2004, after the
area surrounding the park was incorporated as the Village of Palmetto
Bay, the Broncos once again updated our name to the Palmetto Bay
Broncos.
In our 35 years of existence, the
Broncos have provided over 7000 of our area's children the opportunity to
participate in an organized football and cheerleading program. This has been
possible only through the efforts of our volunteers, who currently contribute
approximately 10,000 volunteer man hours per year. (Please note: We are always
looking for help!)
The Broncos have been proud to bring
the Village four Pop Warner football and one cheerleading national
championships.
In addition to the five weight divisions sanctioned by Pop Warner
Little Scholars, Inc., the Palmetto Bay Broncos are
also home to GMPW Jr.
Bandit and Bandit teams for 6-8 year old players, and an in-house
intra-mural league for
5-8 year olds, both football and cheerleading.
The Bronco
organization also sponsors a spring flag football league for boys and girls ages
6-15.
We are located at Coral Reef Park on S.W. 152
St. at 77 Av., the Village of Palmetto Bay, in South Miami-Dade County.
